Vinyl Snob
Episode 6

Collecting & Pressing (part two)

In episode 6 we introduce a new segment called "Confessions of a Vinyl Addict". In it we talk with "advanced" vinyl collectors and find out what drives them and why, how and where they hunt and how they ended up as vinyl addicts.  In this first installment, Vinyl Snob producer Dana Berry speaks with Gavin O'Neill, a collector that curates his own specialized selection of albums from a certain era in pristine condition, mostly 1st pressing and country of origin releases. Check out the bonus video tour of Gavin's record room below. In our second segment, we finish our interview with Steve Sheldon at Rainbo Records. In episode 5 we took a tour of the pressing plant and now in episode 6 Steve tells us the fascinating history of Rainbo, which in many ways reflects the story of the vinyl record. And as usual, there is plenty of rock n roll music to accompany us on our journey.

Vinyl cuts:
